Recently, I was sent a cool Speedy Spine Binder to review for the office supply blog.  It’s a real looker and has a penchant for speed, which I like.  I must confess, I have a bit of an obsession with binders and notebooks. I even color co-ordinate my binders for organizing my home web publishing business:

  • Red Binders: Health and fitness articles and research.

As you know, I recently added a new category to the office supply blog…. PENS!  I’ve always been obsessed with and fascinated by pens.  I remember in school when we were finally able to use pens instead of pencils, I thought I had arrived.  I had that lofty, “Why am I not running the world?!” feeling  and, frankly, it never left.  Pens are all kinds of awesome and I was a bonehead not to give them their own category by now.

But, it’s all good now and I’ve made it right.

I’ve been pulled, kicking and screaming, into the coupon and money saving arena.  My youngest daughter, Stephany, has become Uber obsessed with coupons and saving money.  She’s hooked on a reality show on television geared toward coupons (I think it’s called something like Extreme Couponing – is that great or what?).

She has become a little Coupon Diva with a coupon for virtually everything you can think of.  At first I didn’t take her seriously and I guess it showed on my face.  That’s when she hit me where it hurt:  “Any money you save is more money you can spend at Starbucks.” There’s something to be said about knowing your opponent’s weakness.

Yesterday, I armed myself with a stack of coupons before going to Kroger and, get this, I saved $10.85.  That’s a couple of Chai Tea Lattes or Green Tea Fraps… or Passion Tea…. or Mocha Fraps… or…

Okay, I’m hooked.
