Aim High – Mt Everest Summit

Never underestimate inspirational art work! I think of them as visual affirmations. We all know how important positive affirmations are, don’t we? Motivational posters and art prints are sure fire ways to put affirmations NOT JUST IN OUR MIDST… but right IN OUR FACE!
I’m not sure if you can read the print on the picture above, but it says, “The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we hit it.” Michelangelo

The gorgeous Imagination Poster above says, “Keep your eyes on the stars, and your feet on the ground.” Great advice. Great poster!
I love having quotes, words, and pictures near my workspace to inspire and motivate me. Some days need it more than others, right? Given the popularity of motivational and inspirational posters for the office, apparently I’m not alone.
One of my favorite motivational sayings (actually it’s just one word) is written on an index card and hangs on a cork board above my desk. The word is GAMBARU. It’s Japanese for “Never ever give up, even and especially when there’s no chance of winning.” You can read more about it in an article on my Self Help website.
I was up against something a few days ago and I must have glanced at the word (which I wrote in bright different colors) about 100 times. Once, I found myself just staring at it. I guess I expected a magical Japanese Genie to pop off of the card and lend a hand.
Sadly that never happened. Would have made for an excellent story. But I did win the epic battle I was facing at that moment. Gambaru!
