A Review of Killer Folders, File Jackets, and Journals

I recently received a box filled with the sort of things that have made me who I am… an office freak of the highest order.  The office supplies are geared toward office organization, a passion of mine! In the review below, you’ll see why I’m obsessed with these products. They’re all from one of my favorite places to shop for office supplies  – Shoplet.com.

Project Planner

First up: The Ampad Project Planner

The beautiful Ampad Project Planner (pictured above) I received to review is a beauty. It’s pink and decked out in an “I support the fight against Breast Cancer and the protection of ta tas the world over!” sort of way – complete with the little pink ribbon. It’s a great way to achieve office (and thought) organization while standing with millions of people who are trying to bring more attention to breast cancer awareness. Talk about a win/win situation.

First of all, I’m hooked on project planners. This daily planner came at just the right time, too. Mine was packed with thoughts, to dos, projects, and motivational quotes. You never know where you’re going to come across a great motivational or inspirational quote! I always jot them down in the closest thing to me, which are always…

  • coffee
  • chocolate
  • one of my cats
  • my project planner

I have no intention of defiling my chocolate or coffee with an ink pen and none of my cats want a tattoo – so by the process of elimination, the quotes always go directly into my project planner.  I’m just beside myself that I have a brand spanking new, and beautiful, one to catch all of my thoughts and plans.

What do I love most about this beautiful planner?

  • A portion of the profits donated from each purchase goes to Breast Cancer Research.
  • Numbered spaces allow me to organize my thoughts and to do lists in an orderly fashion. Jumbled thoughts make for jumbled days, and this planner keeps that from ever happening.
  • I love that there’s room for headings. I’m pretty anal about my notes and appreciate the layout of each of the many pages.
  • There’s plenty of room!  Some planners leave you with very little space to actually write in. They seem so obsessed with drawing lines all over each page that they fail to realize that the words are all that really matter. This planner provides lines to keep your words from riding piggy back on each other while giving the user ample room to express their thoughts.

If you’re looking for more office organization, as an office supply veteran, I promise you the first thing you need is a project planner.  Click the link or image above to see my newest one, or click the following link to see a  huge selection of project planners.

Pendaflex Ready-Tab Lift Tab Reinforced Hanging Folders

I also received bright, beautiful and office organization friendly Pendaflex Ready-Tab Lift Tab Reinforced Hanging Folders (shown above).  It was almost as if the sender knew how obsessed I am with office organization.  Some people love to buy single-colored hanging folders, but this office organization ninja has always preferred multi-colored folders. I use different colors for different projects, websites, and purposes. For example, everything related to my office supply blog goes into red folders – I think it’s because so many office supply companies (including Shoplet.com) have red in their logos. For this website, I’ve always gravitated toward red, and I think that’s a big reason why.

I love the fact that these hanging folders are so sturdy! Some hanging folders you find in stores can be flimsy and collapse under pressure. These beauties refuse to collapse and I love them for it. These particular folders feature built-in tabs can be easily lifted up or down to make filing set up faster and easier than ever. Write directly on the tabs or use included sticker labels.

Product Details

  • Sold in Boxes of 25
  • Built-in tabs can be easily lifted up or down to make filing set up faster and easier than ever Features patent pending Lift Tab technology, which makes tabs sturdier and easier to change position.
  • Write directly on tabs or use included sticker labels.
  • Polylaminate reinforced tops and bottoms.

These are the sturdiest hanging files I’ve ever worked with, and you know what an office organizational nut I am, I’ve worked with them all. Click through the picture of the beauties above or see Pendaflex Ready-Tab Lift Tab Reinforced Hanging Folders for a closer look. These are exceptional – absolutely exceptional.  See more file folders and hanging folders on Shoplet.

Esselte Copysafe File Jacket

The Esselte Copysafe File Jacket intrigued me from the get-go.  When I quit fawning over the hanging folders (it’s an addition), I turned my attention to this very secretive and alluring file jacket. Oh, the possibilities!

It’s designed in a way that you know what paper(s) you have inside, but no one else does.  The handsome design on the front and back prevent anyone else from reading your brilliance. How cool’s that? I also love that the File jacket is sealed on two sides to prevent documents from falling out.

If you knew how clumsy I am, you’d understand how much I appreciate this detail. I regularly carry whatever writing I’m working on from room to room – sometimes out in the yard with me.  That’s the beauty of working from home, your office is wherever your in the mood to put it.

A lot of people work on the fly these days. Mobile offices are practically the norm.  My husband, for example, is the king of the mobile office. Sometimes I think his Taurus is his actual office. The Esselte Copysafe File Jacket is absolutely IDEAL for people like him – your papers will not fly out (onto the ground or into the floor of the car).  And, as I said, you’re guaranteed absolute privacy – no one will steal your ideas or make a scrunchy little face like, “What does that mean?..“  Hence, you’re saved from having to say, “Bugger off, nosy.”

Whether you work from home, in a traditional office, or work your mojo from a mobile office, you’re going to love everything about this file jacket. Click one of the links or the picture for a closer look. Mobile office workers, you should load up on these (as well as the files below!).

Pendaflex Divide it Up File Folder

I saved the Pendaflex Divide it Up File Folder for last because, truth be told, I’m infatuated.  Each time I see it, I hear Rod Stewart’s “Infatuation” play in my head. Thankfully, I don’t see him as the song plays – just the divine folder that is custom tailored to office freaks with a thing for office organization – or as we say in Kentucky, a thang for office organization.

Oh, how I love this divided folder – it makes me wonder why someone didn’t think of this sooner!

One of the websites in my web publishing biz is a website devoted entirely to the state or Kentucky: Kentucky Tourism, restaurant reviews, etc. I grab travel brochures frequently and these ingenious folders are ideal for keeping everything together and organized. The brochures can fit snugly in the pockets – never falling out and leaving a trail behind me. Been there, done that.

They’re also ideal for holding receipts – whether for tax purposes, expense checks, or online surveys.

Pendaflex Divide it Up File Folders are sold in packs of 12 for less than $8.00 a pack!  Trust me, you’ll love these folders so much that it’d be smart to order more than one pack.

Product Details

  • Sold in Packs of 12
  • Three sections in one folder help manage multiple documents or subdivide projects.
  • Sections are closed on two sides to prevent papers from falling out.
  • Holds 175 sheets of paper.

They’re available in a wide variety of colors, which I also love.

I hope you’ll click through each of the links (and/or pictures) and take a closer look at each of these outstanding office supply and office organization products.  I firmly stand behind each one with my mug of coffee raised in a toast to Shoplet.com. You’re the bomb, Shoplet.

P.S. I didn’t actually receive one to review, but you should check out the Ampad Executive Gold Fibre Journal – very chic and high brow-looking, but you won’t believe the price!
