I honestly can’t imagine how anyone gets by without a notebook or laptop these days. Even though I work from home and have access to my desktop PC all day and night, I absolutely love the fact that my laptop allows me to reintroduce myself to the rest of the house. Oddly, when I think about being productive and getting work done (painlessly), Windows and Gateway never come to mind. I prefer a Mac with OS X. The OS gets out of the way and lets me focus on getting work done.
