Gateway Laptop: Back to School Savings?

Yes, Please, Don't Mind if I Do!

Gateway LaptopThe first computer we ever had (many, many moons ago) was a Gateway. I’ll never forget how EXCITED I was when the cow-colored box arrived. I’m pretty sure my daughters and I stood around and looked at it like it was from outer space while my husband got ready to put it together.

Ever since then, I’ve had a special place in my heart for everything Gateway. If you’ll forgive me for being a little corny for a second, our Gateway was a “gateway” in every sense of the word. It was our first experience with the internet and all the magic that it entails.  Somehow I went from learning how to bookmark my favorite websites to (today) working entirely from home online building and publishing websites.

Gateway, indeed.

The handsome laptop pictured above is the Gateway NE56R34u 15.6-Inch Laptop (Black) and it sits at the top of my list for Santa.  I feel really good about it because, let’s face it, I’ve been really good. That seems to be Santa’s only requirement – be good. I’m all over that one.

Except for the other night when I said an umpire’s face looked like something pulled out of a raw turkey. I maybe wasn’t quite so good then…

Laptop Details:

  • Intel Pentium B960 2.2 GHz (2 MB Cache)
  • 4 GB SDRAM
  • 500 GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive
  • 15.6-Inch Screen, Intel HD Graphics
  • Windows 8, 4.5-hour battery life

The extra sweet thing about this Gateway NE56R34u 15.6-Inch Laptop (Black) is that it’s one of the laptops that are currently marked down for “back to school” savings on Amazon. Fortunately you don’t even have to be in school to take advantage of these savings. Heck you don’t even have to be good.
