It not only plays digital photos, it also has an audio component so when I put together slide shows for the LCD digital frame, I can also add an audio track to it as an MP3 file. I think that a frame like this could give our family hours of entertainment and it would spur the kids' creativity, too, by letting them put together interesting slide shows of our vacations, their school activities, and family celebrations. I dabbled in video editing professionally for a short period, and have found it to be immensely entertaining. When I worked in Purchasing we bought a whole shipping container of these digital frames from China to give out to customers as Christmas gifts. The markup you see on these in-store is more than twice what we paid. Of course, we had to buy samples from 3-4 different vendors first to find one that wasn't a piece of junk. What's really funny about buying from China is the special "gifts" suppliers send to show their appreciation. Once we opened up a crate of product to find several cartons of cigarettes the supplier had included gratis. Since this was a smoke free workplace, we were freaking out.
