I value the heck out of my desk space, so the thought of getting a lamp off of the desk and onto the floor excites me almost as much as my next cup of coffee.
The Telescoping Floor Lamp, pictured here, is a stylish way to free up desk space without compromising illumination. Never one to compromise illumination, I’ve fallen hard for this beautiful lamp.
From the Web Site:
Light up or light down with the ingenious; adjustable design of this modern floor lamp. Easily adjust the pole height from 36.5″ to 57″; and then pull the cord out the bottom as needed.
Casting a flattering red glow; its contemporary design has a stainless look that’s nicely weighted and quite sturdy. Uses one 25-watt candelabra bulb; not included.

That is a beauty. I just clicked over to see the pricing and was bummed out to see this model is discontinued. CHiA\’SSO has some other modern options but they are all silver. I really liked the pop of red on this one. Of course, you could always just change out the shade on one of their other models. Also, it looks like Target has a 3-shelf floor lamp with a red shade for sale through Amazon. Since I’m totally enamored with storage space, maybe that would be my ideal solution.
