Tempting Bamboo Office Chair Mat

by Joi on February 9, 2008

The Anji Mountain Rug Co. Bamboo Office Chair Mat (pictured below) is from HomeClick.

From the Web Site:
Anji Mountain Bamboo Rug Co.’s Original Bamboo Office Chair Mat* melds beauty, style and function to create an alternative to the bland, utilitarian vinyl chair mat. There is no product like this in the marketplace!

The Bamboo Office Chair Mat is incredibly durable and will add an elegant touch to any office or home office setting. Furthermore, it is easy to ship and easy to transport. No assembly required!

  • 55″ x 57″ with tongue
  • 100% Anji Mountain Bamboo
  • 5mm thick
  • Honey Oak color
  • Premium felt backing for cushioning and protection
  • Rolls up for easy shipping and portability

Oh, prettiness, prettiness. I absolutely love the way this chair mat looks - and these last so much longer than those plastic thinga-ma-ja-bobs. If you’re a proud owner of a plastic thinga-ma-ja-bob, don’t fire off angry e-mails at me accusing me of hating on your chair mat. Alas, I spend my day hudging, budging, and sailing along on a hard ocean of plastic as well.

For now.

Light Up Your World!

by Joi on January 26, 2008

Orbit Lamp

The great looking lamp, above, is the “Orbit Lamp.” Appropriately enough, it’s from TheLightShop.com.

The list price for this ridiculously handsome lamp is $102.00, but The Light Shop has it for only $61. In fact, they have an unbelievable selection of all sorts of lamps with savings that’d bring a smile to even the tightest of tight wads.

The Solara Red table Lamp (below) is also valued at $102 but sold at $61. It’s also a handsome devil.

You HAVE to check out the amazing variety of gorgeous lamps at TheLightShop.com. I recently went shopping offline for a lamp, and never saw any even half as beautiful as the ones on this site. The ones I found were also much higher.

To take a closer look at either of the lamps in this post, simply enter their name(s) in the search field. Otherwise, browse until your heart’s content.

It’s Sticky Note’s World, We Just Live Here

by Joi on January 23, 2008

StickyNote

Check this out! StickyNote
is the most popular virtual notes program in the world. With StickyNote 9.0, you can create beautiful 3D notes on your desktop, send them over the Internet, attach notes to documents or windows and even attach documents to notes.

I know I have a sticky note fetish, and I’m working on it (okay, I’m not really working on it), but this is just too, too clever. I must, I absolutely must have this.

Must.

Contest! Win a Samsung SCX-4500 Printer Laser MFP

by Joi on January 14, 2008

We’re offering one free Samsung SCX-4500 printer laser MFP to one lucky Office Freaks reader!

First a little about this gorgeous printer. The Samsung SCX-4500 printer laser MFP was designed to be small, sleek, and silent. Doesn’t sound like a lot of printers I’ve known in my life - large, clumbersome, and anything but silent.

The Samsung SCX-4500 printer laser MFP is actually the smallest laser MFP in the world. With it’s elegant black finish, buttonless soft-touch controls and blue LEDs, it wins the best looking category as well. As if that weren’t enough, at just 45 dBA, it’s the quietest laser MFP in existence. But that doesn’t mean it won’t do its job and do it well. It offers fast 17 ppm printing and copying and 4800 x 4800 enhanced resolution color scanning.

Ultra-Compact Laser MFP

• Smallest laser printer/copier/color scanner in the world
• High-style glossy piano black finish
• Buttonless soft-touch sensor panels with blue LED scan status indicators
• Easy jam clearing
• Quietest printer operation in the world (45 dBA)
• Soft, melodic low toner and low paper alert tones
• Semi-auto sliding paper tray
• Print and copy up to 17 ppm, up to 4800 x 4800 enhanced scanning

So, if you’re ready to work in style, lean in closely and see what you have to do to win one of these beauties:

To be eligible to win a Samsung SCX-4500 printer laser MFP, you have to share your wisdom, your wit, or a little of both. Simply submit your Office Story to Joi (that’s me) to be published on Office Freaks (you’re there). We will publish each “qualifying” entry we receieve - whether it’s 1 or 100.

The post should be connected to office life in some way - whether at home or away. You could tell how you solved a problem, decorated an office, or even tell a funny story about a co-worker. You could also, of course, give a review of a product you loved or even hated.

I’m not that great with following rules, myself, so I’m not going to throw many at you. Other than this: We will not print any words that are vulgar, inflammatory, insulting, or hateful. If we don’t publish an entry, it isn’t eligible, so tell your words to play nice.

If you have any questions, at all, please e-mail me (joisigers@aim.com) and I’ll do my level best to answer them.

So, how is the winner determined? We will have 13 people read the posts and vote on their favorite. The person who entered the winning post will be sent one of these fetching printers. If there is a tie, the entries that were chosen will be written on index cards and placed into a large bag. We’ll then have one of our daughters pull out a card…. ta da, we’ll have the winner of the Samsung SCX-4500 printer laser MFP.

Spread the word and e-mail me your entires asap - I look forward to reading all of them!

Finally! A Sexy iPod Docking Station

by Joi on December 27, 2007

The HoMedics iSoundSpa(tm) Clock Radio with iPod Docking Station is as handsome as it is functional.

I’m really not a fan of a lot of the docking stations - they’re kind of homely. But the one above is from Macy’s and is a modernistic hottie.

From the web site:

Wake up to the tunes you choose or just rock out loud any time you want. Customizable with interchangeable faceplates to match your iPod®, this stylish clock/radio and docking station plays music with amazing sound clarity as it charges your iPod and displays the time on its large digit LCD display. One-year limited warranty. Model SS-6500.

Features:

  • AM/FM radio with digital tuning and volume control
  • Line-in allows you to attach non-docking iPods, CD players and other MP3 players
  • Universal inserts fits all docking iPods
  • Dual alarm with snooze feature
  • 15, 30, 45 or 60 minute nap feature and auto-off timer

The HoMedics iSoundSpa(tm) Clock Radio with iPod Docking Station - could take the bite out of any (okay just about any) work day.

Funny how much smoother life goes down when taken with music. That, Starbucks, and the occasional big, thick, ridiculously unforgiving and calorie laden Steak burger from Steak and Shake. With fries. Countdown to lunch has officially begun.

This is just one of the big sales going on, so be sure to visit Geeks.com

Handsome Golf Cart Pen Set

by Joi on September 2, 2007

I can’t explain it entirely, but I’ve got a real thing for pens. Pencils do diddly squat for me, but pens…wow! Pens with black ink, pens with red ink, pens with blue ink, pens with green ink - I don’t play favorites. Red, yellow, black, and white, they are all precious when I write.

I get pretty creative with my pen containers, too. On my desk is a hollowed out coconut with a face. He holds about 20 pens. In the kitchen, near the phone is a clear Starbucks cup filled with coffee beans - a variety of lucky-albeit-it-highly-caffeinated pens call this home. In the den’s a mug from Wichita Kansas with around 30 pens. There are others throughout the house….you know, it’s just beginning to occur to me how deep my pen fetish runs.

I’ve found just the holder for my husband’s desk. I’m looking over there now and it’s a complete and total shame - his pens are just lying around with the riff raff (a.k.a. pencils). Sadly, they’re homeless. But that’s just about to come to an end. I’m moving his pens into my coconut penthouse, and I’ll even take in the riff raff. I’ll replace them all with the Golf Cart Pen Set from The Paragon.

From the Website:
Cleverly disguised as a miniature golf bag, this unique office accessory is a desk-bound golfer’s delight. The clubs are ballpoint pens, one each of black, blue, and red ink. And the classy plastic bag and metal cart have wonderful details like zippered pockets and movable wheels. Pens use standard refills. 8 1/2″ overall. A fun gift!

This would be a perfect gift for any golf lover. The website also has a cute Golfer’s Desktop Zen Garden. Click the link and give them both a look. While you’re there, take a look around - The Paragon has some totally amazing and original lovelies. There’s a cast iron bunny plant stand (yes, a cast iron bunny plant stand) that I’m not sure I can live much longer without.

Dicsovery Channel’s Summer End Sale

by Joi on August 31, 2007

I’ve used products from the “Discovery Channel Store”
often on this blog…as well as other blogs. I like to blog about and promote products and merchants that are top of the line, and the Discovery Channel at THE top of just about every line ever drawn. Pretty much flawless.

Anyway, the “Discovery Channel Store”
is now having an End of Summer Sale and it’s a doozie. The always-popular Cube World (pictured above) is just one of the items on sale. These guys make great desk buddies - They never place any demands on you, they don’t mind if your hair’s done or undone, and they’ll never tell you how many cups of coffee you’ve already had.

Caribou Coffee and Gifts for Proud Coffee Addicts

by Joi on July 30, 2007

Are you one of the lucky cats within reach of a Caribou Coffee? If so, don’t tell me - I don’t even want to know. I’ve just spent the better part of the morning on their website doing the whole, “Want that, want that, want that..” song and dance. At last count, I think I was around 89 - what can I say, I’m good at what I do. The lovelies below are just some of the things in my virtual cart: There’s a Coffee bag (A heavy duty bag, made from recycled burlap bags that carried green coffee beans.), a White Canister Set (A Caribou set for two), a Slate Coasters Set, a hot Pink Mug with the Caribou coffee logo, a Car Coaster, Kitchen Towels….and that’s just scratching the surface.

Needless to say, they also have tons of coffee, sweets, and other food items. Trust me, you’ll want to click the button below and have a look around - this stuff is gorgeous, and amazingly low-priced.
