My oldest daughter, Emily, is a huge Green Bay Packers fan.  A fanatical cheese-head is she.  Oddly enough, each member of our family likes a different NFL team.  I’m a Broncos fan… not a particularly giddy one this year, but a Broncos fan nonetheless.  My husband loves the JETS, JETS, JETS.  My youngest daughter follows Randy Moss – whichever team he’s on?  Yeah, that’s her favorite.

Our middle daughter is a Cowboys fan but I’m pretty sure she just likes the colors.  And Romo.

Anyone with a home office knows how deceptive the phrase truly is. It implies that there’s one special room – usually in the back of the house – with a big brown door. You open the door and voila! there’s a big, beautiful home office with rich mahogany furniture, bookshelves filled to the brim with knowledge, computers, laptops, plants, and every office supply known to exist. The room would look like something out of a Staples or Office Depot catalog and would be enough to make an office freak pass out from excitement.

My knees are getting weak as it is.

Laptops and Notebooks have helped home offices thrive. We can transport whatever it is we’re working on to whatever room we want to be in at the time. If a favorite show on the Food Network is on or my UK Wildcats or St. Louis Cardinals are on TV, it’s definitely time to roll.

Like any of them can get their game on without me.

Contoured Support Office Chair

Yes. As a matter of fact I do write about office chairs a great deal. For one thing, I work from home and am in one at least 6 hours a day. Some days it seems like I’m in my chair more than I’m out of my chair. I need a comfortable ride.

To compound matters, I’ve been in two bad car wrecks in my life (neither of which, remarkably, were my fault… I know, I know, I’m just as surprised as you are) and they’ve left me with a cranky back. I generally rarely have flare ups, because I choose my chairs and activities wisely – but when I do… there’s not enough Ibuprofen in Kentucky. Yoga and walking keep me pretty loose and the refusal to associate with manual labor keeps me safe (See, honey, I leave the trash hauling, yard work, and so forth – not because I’m a diva, but because I…. what was my reason again.. oh, yeah, I’m nursing my back).

Recently, I lifted a ridiculously heavy box of Christmas decorations and ornaments that was in the garage. Because I’m nothing if not brave, I didn’t want to linger out there at the mercy of zombies planning to ambush me – I flew off for the house, heavy arse box in tow.

I’ve been in pain for a couple of days now. The upside is I never became take-out for zombies.

Yay, me.
