I honestly can’t make up my mind. I can’t decide if I like wood office desk tops or glass office desk tops better.
Right about the time I think I prefer wood office desk tops, I’ll get a pen mark on one and have to consult every kitchen remedy book in the county to remove it. Then, when I think that glass desk tops are my choice, I remind myself that the wood ones don’t require “smudge busting” with Windex.
Pros and cons for each type of desk, I suppose. Which is why I honestly don’t prefer one over the other. Our home has each. I will say this, however, glass desk tops don’t get those annoying little mystery stains (yellow? really?) or nicks. One of my daughter’s desks looks like the Travelocity Gnome ice skated across the surface…. and not well. At one point, it looks like he just disappeared. Gnome rapture?

We have a standing family tradition in our family on Sundays – my husband can have first crack at every inch of the Sunday paper except for the circulars. My husband recently got me a handsome new desk for my computer and I’m on the verge of becoming anal about keeping it from getting pen marks and scratches.
