		<description>Hi, Sarah -
You&#039;re absolutely right - everything I hear points to a lack of privacy being a grave concern! The sliding doors sound like a solution who&#039;s time had certainly come.

I&#039;d love to use this for a future post, and would be delighted to hear from you again. If you have info you&#039;d like to send me, I&#039;ll write it up for a post this week. You can e-mail me at joisigers@aim.com.

Thanks for the information - I love hearing about innovative products and solutions, it means someone&#039;s on their toes.

		<description>Hello,

I wanted to suggest a new office products that provides a some-what humorous solution for a serious problem in the workplace: lack of privacy.

One of the most-complained-about work issues deals with lack of office privacy among coworkers, especially in cube environments. Additionally, studies have shown that offices are now monitoring employee internet usage and reading emails in order to keep an eye on their workers. These issues, paired with workplace interruptions, can increase job-related stress and lead to more than 3 hours of lost work time each day.

While open office spaces encourage communication, solutions for having temporary privacy seem to be rare. ACCO Brands has developed a unique solution to this problem with its easy-to-install cubicle sliding door intended for workers who would like more privacy throughout their workday. The Quartet Workstation Privacy Screen opens and closes smoothly on the inside or outside of any cubicle work space and even features a dry-erase board for leaving messages or impromptu meeting notices while the worker is away. Best of all, the privacy screen closes the gap at the entrance of the cubicle, so co-workers will know that interruptions must be kept to a minimum.

While closed office spaces may be reserved for those high-level managers and executives, having privacy doesn’t have to wait for a promotion.

Please feel free to email me if you have any questions or would like to talk about using some of this information in a future story.

Best,
Sarah Marseille
