Caribou Coffee and Gifts for Proud Coffee Addicts

by Joi on July 30, 2007

Are you one of the lucky cats within reach of a Caribou Coffee? If so, don’t tell me - I don’t even want to know. I’ve just spent the better part of the morning on their website doing the whole, “Want that, want that, want that..” song and dance. At last count, I think I was around 89 - what can I say, I’m good at what I do. The lovelies below are just some of the things in my virtual cart: There’s a Coffee bag (A heavy duty bag, made from recycled burlap bags that carried green coffee beans.), a White Canister Set (A Caribou set for two), a Slate Coasters Set, a hot Pink Mug with the Caribou coffee logo, a Car Coaster, Kitchen Towels….and that’s just scratching the surface.

Needless to say, they also have tons of coffee, sweets, and other food items. Trust me, you’ll want to click the button below and have a look around - this stuff is gorgeous, and amazingly low-priced.

Amazing Screensavers and Wallpapers

by Joi on July 26, 2007

If your computer is as pivitol to your life as mine is to mine, you spend a great deal of time with it. It makes you laugh, it makes you scream, it makes you money, it costs you money….. Kind of like a spouse, eh?

Something my computer and I like to do for fun is try out new screensavers and wallpapers. I share my computer with my 3 daughters, so I’ll often find mine replaced with Zac Efron, Justin Timberlake, or Johnny Depp - but when I get a shot at it, my favorite places to get them are National Geographic.com and Screensavers.

You can get mind-blowing, eye-popping 3D screensavers at the latter, like the Screensavers Above
. They aren’t just spiffy, they’re free. These are just a few of my favorites, click the link and find some that float your boat.

Futuristic Desk

by Joi on July 21, 2007

Computer Desk Only - "e;Monster"e;

The jury’s still a little out on this one. While I applaud it’s nerve and even respect its attitude - I’m not entirely sure how this "e;Monster"e; Computer Desk
would look in my computer room.

It’s not the desk’s fault, I just don’t decorate in this futuristic style. I can see it perfectly in a dorm room or in an office that screams MODERN. I can also see someone who never misses an episode of American Chopper or MythBusters loving it. (Off the subject, but MythBusters is amazing tv…)

The Facts:

With its highly industrial looking design, this computer workstation dares to make a bold statement! This computer desk from Powell’s “Monster” collection is great for homes with appreciation for modern style. The heavy-gauge, tubular steel frame is complemented by textured chrome-plated drawer fronts and faux charcoal stained wood grain. A laminated top gives the dramatic, rugged construction the ability to withstand years of use! The desk hutch, also made from tubular steel, aids in organization of your workstation. A handy bookshelf, and two mailboxes allow you to keep your desktop tidy and efficient! Assembly required. Comes with a limited one year manufacturer’s warranty. This item ships directly from the manufacturer. Product usually arrives in 6-12 business days, depending on destination, including order processing and shipping. This item/items are delivered by common carrier truck. The service will call to schedule an appointment for
delivery.

The website features other items in this line - and they’re all pretty darned great looking.

I think I”m actually warming up to this desk

WeekEND Laughs

by Joi on July 13, 2007

The following link comes with a few warnings…

Warning # 1 aka “The ‘taints”: ‘taint innocent, ‘taint G, ‘taint even PG.

Warning#2 aka “The ’tises” (’tises?): ’tis hilarious, ’tis liable to laugh from the gut, ’tis likely to put a smile on your face all day long.

So, if your ’tises outwiegh your ‘taints - I’ve got some funnies for you. The post I’m linking you to shows actual comic panels from the distant past. Because times change, for better or worse, the words take on different meanings and things that were SOMEHOW normal then are outrageously funny now.

I admit it - I’m one of those people who laughs pretty easily (the husband calls me shoehorn because of it…ha ha ha), but I loved these. We’re talking tears in the eyes loved these.

Again, these don’t pretend to be PC or PG…..just PDF. Click HERE if you’re cool with that, Click HERE if “Not so much.”

Have a ridiculously fun weekend - see how many laughs you can squeeze into two days!

Clutter Free Printer Caddy vs Gnomes

by Joi on July 9, 2007

Clutter-Free Printer Caddy

Printer paper is one of those office necessities that night gnomes love to hide from people. You can have at least 100 sheets in the printer, itself, on Tuesday - but, come Wednesday, you run out of paper 3 pages into a printing.

So, bumfuzzled, you start looking around for the package of printer paper. It’s where you left it, right? Hell to the no, it isn’t! The night gnomes have put it in some fool place you know for certain you’d never even visit let alone store printer paper in. And Heaven forbid you should find yourself in need of ink cartridges. The gnomes don’t just rearrange them - they eat them.

Score 1 for the humans. The handsomely functional and functionally handsome Clutter-Free Printer Caddy
will catch the night gnomes completely off their game.

The Details:
Capable of holding a printer, paper, ink cartridges, and other print necessities in one convenient place, this stand efficiently organizes cluttered work areas and optimizes desk space. Finished in a dark cherry color, the stand has a black leather inlay top that supports the printer, while cable slots keep cords together and out of the way. Two glass inlay drawers have ample space for supplies, while two open shelves keep paper organized and close at hand. Medium density fiberboard construction. 61/2″ H x 21 1/2″ W x 15 1/4″ L. (23 lbs.)

In all seriousness, when things are organized, our work is made easier and more efficient. Time NOT spent looking around for this or hunting high and low for that can be spent actually accomplishing things that matter and scratching things off of your unforgiving to do list.

This is just one of those deliciously clever office products that can put us back in control of our working lives.

What do you have to say to that, gnomes?

Mooning Gnome

P.S. If for some reason, you like theMooning Gnome - you can find him by clicking the link or the gnome, himself.

What? You like him? I don’t even know you anymore.

CompUSA’s Feeling Patriotic

by Joi on July 4, 2007

You gotta love the 4th of July if you’re an American. Not only is it a time to celebrate our country’s history, it’s the perfect time to celebrate all that’s right with the U.S.A. - and there’s A LOT right with it. Its also a time to stop and think about all of the men and women who serve us (and have served us in the past) in the armed forces. Everyone loves heroes and heroines in the movies - these are the real thing!

Independence Day is absolutely one of my favorite times of the year. I love the grilled food, the fireworks, and the waving flags that I wish would never go down. I also have a strong respect for the sales that present themselves during the first week of July. I’ve noticed some pretty great ones lately - especially online.

CompUSA
is feeling the Love American Style, and in a big way. Through the 7th, CompUSA has….

 • Notebooks priced ridicuously low - with some starting at $399.00.
 • Desktops starting at $299.00.
 • 50 percent off printers.
 • 19 inch LCD Monitors starting at $129.99.
 • ipods and MP3 Players are all on sale.
 • 20 percent off of all office supplies.
 • Save up to 45 percent on accessories.
 • Save up to 85 percent on Networking.

The icing on the cake? Free shipping ALL DAY on JULY 4! So if there’s anything your Office Freak-y heart desires, today’s the day to act and CompUSA is the place to do so.
